Leash Attachment

Your surf leash is not a safety device! It is made for convieninice to help you retrieve your board should you loose it in the surf.
A surf leash does not replace swimming skills or knowledge of ocean conditions!

Should you choose to use a surf leash, beware that it can become entangled on debris, the bottom, rocks, coral, reef, etc. Familiarize yourself with the quick release tab as you may need to pull it to release in an emergency.
This set-up sheet is not comprehensive in leash usage or water safety and should only be used as intended for instructions on attaching the leash to the board.

Your safety is your own responsibility. When in doubt, don't go out.
Use common sense, respect the ocean and surf safely.

Remove attachment rope from end of leash and slide looped end through leash cup.
Insert knotted end through loop, then pull snugly.
Note the knot of the leash loop should not extend beyond the tail of the board (3A). If it does, remove the leash loop and shorten the distance to the knot (3B). This is very important as having the leash loop too long can cause serious damage to your board.
Push rail saver end of leash through leash loop attached to board.
Securely attach velcro and pull snugly to check.
